EXCITING ONLINE RAFFLE! Having cancelled 6 fundraisers this year, we're excited to announce Pet Medical Crisis's first online raffle to help fill that gap. Proceeds from the raffle go to ASSIST PENSIONERS TO KEEP THEIR LOVED PETS ALIVE WHEN THEY CAN'T AFFORD VETERINARY CARE. 50% of our cases assist disability and aged pensioner's pets - making sure their pet's health is optimised to continue in bringing loving companionship and often their very reason to get out of bed and keep going. Pet Medical Crisis charity has so far distributed ~$500,000 to assist 680 pets with vital veterinary care and the need keeps growing. Our latest case October 2020: 18-week-old Hank fell and fractured his arm badly. Single Mum Grace lives week-to-week, rents and hasn't been able to work due to covid19. Hank and Grace's daughter Lily are best friends and Grace didn't know how to tell young Lily that despite all efforts she just couldn't save him. Grace cried and felt like a failure as she learnt that Hank faced being euthanised or having his leg amputated (because it's a cheaper option). Pet Medical Crisis donated and fundraised to get surgery to save Hank's leg, something Grace had totally given up on. Once again Grace was in tears - of total relief and gratitude to the 'angels' who were helping her. 48 hours later Hank had one of Australia's premier surgeons, Dr Chris Preston, fixing his leg to get him home on all 4's to his little girl and Mum. A small kindness with a long-term impact on this family.
